Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

I pray for those in our church and community who need to feel the hand of compassion the Jesus reaches out to all of us. I pray that all who serve at the Gleaners food distribution feel the blessing of providing a compassionate hand to others.I pray that all who are served at the Gleaners food distribution this weekend are blessed by a new or renewed awareness of you, Father.

Remember to stop at Allendale Community Church on Saturday June 16 from noon to 2PM. South of Family Fare on 64th.The first 100 families who have a need will be given 50 lbs of food. And if we don't get enough families, they could go through a second time. We need help - praying for this and the people who pick up the food - pray for them before, during, and after the day, handing out the food, and getting people to pick up the food. There is a lot bread this time so pass the word and help us pass all of it out! Too many people say give it to someone else and then it ends up spoiling and not helping anyone. Thanks, Tim Mulder for Allendale Community Church
